My Review Of The Spyderco Karambit Folding Knife

!±8± My Review Of The Spyderco Karambit Folding Knife

Very few knives look as mean as a Karambit. The distinct curve of the blade is something that must be seen to be appreciated.

When I heard that Spyderco was making there own karambit, I knew that I needed to get one. Luckily for me, I got a great deal on this knife and I didn't need to spend an arm and a leg. Here are my thoughts.

What I like about the knife:

1. Most karambits that I have seen are TOO mean looking to carry around everyday. I love that Spyderco gives you the cool looks of a karambit with a cutting edge that is just under 2 inches long.

2. The blade is crafted with VG-10 stainless steel. This is one of the best steels available in the knife world today. It is highly resistant to rusting or pitting but has enough hardness to stay sharp when you depend on it.

3. Each Spyderco Karambit has a super-tough liner lock. This gives you piece of mind because you don't need to worry about lock failure.

4. The stainless steel handle looks and feels CLASSY. I'm very impressed by the way that Spyderco pulled off such a slick looking knife.

What I didn't like:

1. Although mean looking, the blade shape can be tricky to make certain cuts with.

2. With a suggested retail value of .95, this knife could be a bit pricey for some folks.

Overall:

The Spyderco Karambit packs a whole lotta punch into a very compact knife. I say that it is well worth the asking price and then some.
